Greenlight orientation
My co-worker and I led the development on a revamp of Guest Services hourly new hire orientation kit. We were tasked with creating a new orientation to replace the current outdated equipment and solve several problems. The old kit contained a DVD player which was often "misplaced by managers", the video content was dull and poorly produced, and compliance was minimal at best. Our solutions to these issues was a self contained kit with a complete overhaul. Making the kit self-contained reduce the rick of managers taking the kit to play DVDs as it only functioned off an SD card. Additionally, I produced a new orientation video with a coherent story, following a new employee on his first day with the company, providing a digital tour in a sense to most of the employees who work in the field and would most likely never visit corporate. The next step was to recreate all new collateral which I worked with marketing to develop and led communications with our vendors to produce. After all of these pieces came together we begun a company wide campaign to increase awareness and excitement for our roll-out with complimentary video pieces such as a trailer and instructional video explaining what the kit is.
Greenlight orientation instructional video
GreenLight is an orientation kit for hourly new hires that provides all the information that a new employee needs to know on their first day with Guest Services. Inside the kit is an integrated video player that provides an orientation film for new employees that can be viewed, discussed, and used as a resource for understanding Guest Services’ culture. After a new employee has watched the orientation film, they will also be given an overview of site-specific information. Every new employee should receive a copy of each document included with the kit. GreenLight is a symbol of the start of a new employee’s journey with Guest Services, and puts employees on the road to success from day one.
